The goal was to design a playground at the east side of Mellat park in Tehran. The site was unused due to construction of blocks for an underpass tunnel. I took the shapes of these blocks as a concept to design different types of landscape elements and playgrounds so the blocks will match as a part of the site. Moreover, in order to create a great view and attraction from the road, I designed the topographic form inclined from the east to the west side which also connects different levels of the park together.
This urban playground includes a maze, swings & slides within and between the blocks. There’s also a sand play area for kids, ground water fountains, and a rock climbing wall. These features create a dynamic space for active play and creativity for all ages.
